RUN Global Ministry Update
From our founder and president – Mike Keator!
Explosive growth is happening right now in Run Global ministries in India and Nepal:
- We just commissioned a new team to Purnea, Bihar, India. Four additional teams are now forming for the cities of Gulariya, Kohalpur, Birgunj, and Lalitpur Nepal. I expect they will all be reaching out on location within a month.
- The number of Indian and Nepalese full time team members is growing fast and will reach 200 soon.
- 5,332 Hindus and Buddhists – not-yet-believers are attending our Discovery Bible Study Groups. About 300 new ones join DBS groups every week.
The command and promise I’ve been following for years is Isaiah 54:2-3 “Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home and spare no expense! For you will soon be bursting at the seams. Your descendants will occupy other nations and resettle the ruined cities”.
In obedience to this command we are actively recruiting, training, and expanding. I am praying the day will soon come that Nepal is reached and many Nepalese missionaries will be going into surrounding nations that are less reached. This has happened with South Korea, and I believe it will happen with Nepal.
The result of our emergency aid to people suffering from loss of jobs is thousands have received food in the name of Jesus. Thousands have been ministered to through prayer and gospel sharing. Five thousand three hundred and thirty-two non-believers are now in weekly Discovery Bible Study groups. Our surveys show that 63% of non-believers who received aid have joined or helped start DBS groups. Some of them became believers within 4 weeks of attendance. 22% of them became believers within 3 months. Twelve percent of our DBS groups have become new churches.
Soon we will begin another round of emergency food distribution in Nepal and India. This is a historic opportunity to advance God’s kingdom.
