Ministry Update
Team Growth
The ministry in Nepal / India is rapidly growing, five months ago, we had five teams, now we have eleven teams in India and Nepal, and three more are forming (the map above shows our training center locations)! People are coming out of the woodwork to join up to reach the world. The newest teams are in New Delhi, Surkhet, Bhaktapur, Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, and Jumla.
I think a new team with explosive potential is the New Delhi team. Ravi Kumar is our team leader. He has previously trained 80 men that are reaching unreached people groups across north India. He is humble, hungry to keep learning, and very energetic. You will enjoy reading his testimony.
Ravi Kumar’s Testimony
I am Ravi Kumar, born in a Hindu family. My father is a farmer, he never knows about Jesus Christ. After marriage my parents had no children for 7 years. In that time my mother heard about Jesus Christ through one of her friends and accepted Him as her Lord and personal savior. She started crying before God for children. One day in her dream, an old man came riding a bull cart. The cart
was full of roses. He was giving those flowers as gifts to many women. My mother was also trying to get at least one flower but she did not get one. After finishing all the flowers, he took her to a rose garden and told her to take any rose and as many she wants. She took only 3 three roses. After a year she gave birth to me. Then within the next four years she gave birth to my two brothers! As I was growing up she used to share this dream with me and encourage me to serve the Lord. But I never went to church and didn’t like to pray and read the Bible. I enrolled in my university, and there I met with people who enticed me to start drinking alcohol. I gradually became addicted to drinking and
neglected my studies. Finally I failed in my 2nd year, so the university did not promote me to 3rd year due lack of credits.
Then I was shocked and felt ashamed. I tried to kill myself. I overdosed on sleeping tablets. When I fell into sleep, I started seeing a dream. In that dream, I saw a pulpit with a Bible on it. Then I saw a very beautiful finger start scrolling down from the book of Genesis all the way down to the Book of Jeremiah. The pages automatically turned to the Book of Jeremiah and again I saw that same finger pointing to Jeremiah 1:5-7. After that I woke up and took the Bible into my hands. That was the
first time I ever touched a Bible. As the finger had led I opened it to Jeremiah 1:5-7 “Before I
formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart, I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” 6 “Alas, Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” 7 But the LORD said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.” When I read this scripture, I remembered my mother’s dream and came to know that Jesus loves me. I realized that Jesus saved me from the death, and gave new life.
I met with a pastor and he led me into Christ and baptized me. That day I accepted Jesus as my Lord and personal savior. Before I was drug addicted, a liar and beating people with no reason. But now I am really a new creation! I lost my anger and lying spirit and drug addiction. I am having peace and joy in my heart. Whenever I say “Lord Jesus”, I feel great joy and peace. Now I am sharing this joy with many people.
