Pray for a Better Year Next Year
Salvador is the Spanish word for Savior.
Jakin and I (Ryan) were knocking on doors last evening and we met a young man named Salvador.
We first asked if we could pray for him and he said, “yes, please pray for a better year next year.” This man spoke English so God allowed me to share more than I normally share with Spanish conversations.
I started asking him if he had any faith in God. He said he had started reading the Bible last year and goes through a yearly Bible reading plan. He wanted to change his life. He is a very shy person and suffers from depression. In fact, he barely made eye contact with us the entire time we were talking.
I shared the Gospel with him and told him that God was jealous of his relationship with him… I also shared many verses on God’s care for us and for His great plans for us.
We told him with God there is hope. He said that we have given him hope. We also shared that with God there is tremendous peace. He said he wanted that peace.
I then encouraged him to call me so we can do a Bible study. Please pray that he does call and that we can help him to have peace with God.
