Somerton Outreach Update

Outreach in Somerton

We are currently staying south of Yuma, Az in an RV park.  I have written before about our outreach efforts in the area.  We do prayer on the porch with the purpose to encourage the body of Christ, seek those that are lost, and preach to those that have never heard.

We have been going door-to-door in a smaller town west of our location called Somerton.  We attend a Spanish speaking Baptist church there.  The people have been really sweet.  We have enjoyed our time meeting many and knocking on a lot of doors.

Many people go to church but they haven’t fully put the Good News of Christ together.  When we go out, we are pointing people to God’s word and sharing what it means to be saved.

A few weeks ago, we had four people profess faith in Christ when we were out.  I also had a follow-up with a young married couple and was able to lead this young mom to Christ.  We know that it is God that prepares hearts, he is the one that opens eyes, removes veils and does the work.  Our job is to keep knocking and keep pointing people to him.  Amen!
