The Upper Room

I grew up going to a Methodist church as a kid.  I went to church until I was confirmed at 13, after that I just stopped going.  It wasn’t until 10 years later that I got involved in a church.  It was there that I gave my life to Christ.

One thing I remember from my time in the Methodist church is the Upper Room publication.  It is a daily devotional for the church members.  I had heard about it as a kid, but never read it.  My grandmother still reads it to this day.

As I was going through the interview, I was asking about her Bible reading habits and how much time she spends in the word each day.  She mentioned that she reads the Bible, but also The Upper Room.

Needless to say, I was very surprised to hear this.  After the interview I asked the team leader if she could send me a photo of the devotional.

I had no idea the Upper Room had that kind of reach!
