There's always an opportunity to shine for Christ!

Greetings to you this new year! When we start a new year it is a time to think about our goals and plans for the next 12 months. Many people make resolutions about the things they want to change. For me, I have many hopes, and aspirations for 2026. The main focus of those goals is to see how we can continue to be a witness for Christ. Are there new ways we can find hurting people? Are there other people we can reach out to? Are there better ways to motivate other Christians to be active in sharing their faith?

All I know is that Jesus is the best, without Jesus we have nothing. His gospel is the greatest message in the world and what a joy it is to share it with others.

This newsletter highlights some of the different ways we have SHINED FOR CHRIST. Whether it is door-to-door evangelism, reaching migrant workers, helping the needy in Mexico, or blessing members of our church.

Thanksgiving with agricultural workers - an opportunity to share!

Juan Carlos with Josh

With the winter season upon us, that means many things for people in Yuma. One, there will be many “snowbirds” returning to enjoy the sun and escape the cold weather up north. The second thing is the influx of migrant workers. Yuma produces 90% of the leafy green vegetables in the US during the winter time. The number of crops is too numerous to list.

With the crops there comes a need for farm workers. These workers come from all over Mexico to harvest these crops. They sign 3-5 month contracts. They work long hours and when payday comes, they send the money home. READ MORE

Food Basket outreach in mexicali!

We have a friend from church who has been doing work in Mexico for over 25+ years. We recently joined them for a food basket outreach. Some of the baskets went to known local believers. Others were distributed as an outreach to share the gospel.

We helped provide food items and labor to construct the food baskets. We then spent about 5 hours driving around Mexicali to deliver those baskets. .. READ MORE and SEE PHOTOS

christmas eve with migrant workers

Christmas Eve is another great time to reach migrant workers. We went to a familiar apartment complex that houses these workers. We had prepared about 30 gift bags with a gospel tract, granola bar, a cookie, and some money.

We engaged in conversations with these workers, prayed for them, and gave them gifts from God. Please pray that God will soften their hearts for the gospel.

One worker we spoke with is spending is 11th season in Yuma. He has come for 4-5 month contracts for the past 11 years. Wow!

caroling on christmas day!

We had the opportunity to go Christmas caroling this year. There were a few people from church that we wanted to visit.

The list kept on growing until we had about 10 or 11 stops on Christmas afternoon.

We visited a man who has been going through Chemotherapy. We visited a single elderly woman. We visited several other couples and friends. It was a fun time.

New Year's eve work in mexico

We spent some time on New Year’s Eve in Mexico serving at the mission. Afterwards we handed out gift bags with a Bible, a cookie, and some money tucked inside the Bible.

It was great to be able to serve at the mission. We look forward to helping out more and more.

Also, the looks on people’s faces when we handed them a gift of a Bible was priceless!

Please pray for greater impact with the work in Mexico. SEE PHOTOS
