Sean - Doubled-Up from Our Church
We have a friend named Joel that comes outreaching with us often. Joel has a great testimony on how God did a 180 in his life. When we met him he had recently joined the Gideon’s organization to be able to distribute Bibles. He was praying to God about how he was going to get these Bibles out.
The very next day at church my son Jakin met Joel and let him know what we did with door to door evangelism. Joel was so encouraged and excited about what we have been doing. Later that night at Bible study Joel introduced himself to me and said he wants to come along with us.
We started going around in Joel’s neighborhood to plant seeds and share the greatest message in the world. Joel saved a few houses close to his place and planned on doing them himself.
We also have a friend name Josh. He and his family have come out with is several times too. Josh was at was the gym one day and he was a wearing a Christian T-shirt. A guy named Sean came up to him and asked him some spiritual questions. Josh was able to answer him and then invited him to church. This conversation happened on a Saturday. The next day is when Joel met Jakin and decided to come out with us evangelizing.
Joel came out with us on Monday night, then on Tuesday, Joel went out by himself in his neighborhood. Guess who’s door he knocked on… Yes, he knocked on Sean’s door.
A guy that is spiritually interested has two people from the same church connect with him within 4 days.
That is no coincidence.
Wait… there’s more!
A month later Grace and I were partnered up and we knocked on the door of a guy named Andrew. When we asked if he needed prayer he came right out of the house and said, “let’s do this”.
After praying for him we asked where he went to church and then he asked us about our church. After we mentioned where we went he said, “Hey, I have a funny story about that. A friend of mine met a guy at the gym who goes to that church and later that week a guy from the church knocked on his door.”
I said, “you’re are talking about Sean.” And he said, “yes”. Sean had just told him the story that morning at the gym and here we are that very night, knocking on his door.
