I was doing some work early on a Monday morning when I received a text. The text simply said,

“Hello, is this Grace Stahl? I was invited to this church like 2 years ago by a leaflet, I’m interested in the adult Sunday school. I’m a young man and I feel lost and I would like to meet other like minded men.”

I responded right away and said that I was Grace’s dad and that I would like to meet him and help him to not feel lost. I said our whole family likes to encourage people in their faith.

As a family we have knocked on many thousands of doors, in a few different locations in the last couple of years. So I asked him where he lives? 

His answer was Escondido! We moved to Yuma from Escondido, CA in June of 2021. This young man had received our note of invitation almost three years ago. God was doing some work on him and now he is ready to find significance in his life. 

I explained that I no longer live in Escondido, but I would be happy to talk in the phone. He replied to the text saying,
“oh ok, You know, I don’t know what’s stopping me from just going to Arizona. I could….I’m just tired of my life, everyday is the same, and I don’t have people I can relate to.”

We ended up talking for about 1 1/2 hours on the phone. I then put him in contact with a friend at our former church. They were able to meet last week.

Please pray for this young man named Moses and that God would continue to lead his life.

We are never going to know the whole scope of God’s work. We know he is working, but we don’t always see it. Keep hoping and keep praying because we don’t know God’s timing.
